This evening, got to meet up with my little friend, Isabelle. She is actually the baby girl of my friends, Ivan and Elena. Only 1 1/2 years old and the last time I met her was many months ago. It is always a joy for me to see her, in fact, I met her since she was a baby, and I really love her. Elena was narrating to me over online chat how she has grown and how she is beginning to talk. Interestingly when her grandma was singing to her "Bah Bah black sheep...." Isabelle will correct her and said "no, good sheep". Tonight I saw with my eyes when Elena was trying to sing the same song. My little friend shook her head and said "no, good sheep." Cute right?
This got me thinking and reflecting. In a child's eyes, there is no "bad" sheep. They are all good sheep. Jesus is our Shepherd, we the sheep are all created good. No sheep is bad or black. If only we can see each other from a child's perspective. Goodness is in the depth of every soul. There is a lot to learn from a child, even if it is just a simple word, a simple action.
